Hotel
Rooms and bookings, check-in with ID, nightly charges, room service, one bill at check-out. Includes Restaurant.
What it does
Runs a hotel's front office: room types and rooms, bookings without overbooking, check-in with the guest's ID, each night's room charge posted automatically, room service and restaurant bills on the room, one GST bill at check-out, and housekeeping. Restaurant is included.
Getting started
- Open Hotel Settings and choose your business and check-in and check-out times.
- Add your Room types with their rate per night. Each one is billed with SAC 996311.
- Add your Rooms with their type and floor.
- For the restaurant and room service, set up Restaurant as its guide describes.
Everyday work
- Open Front desk to see who is arriving and leaving today and every room: free, occupied (with the guest), or waiting for cleaning.
- Take a booking: the guest, room type and dates. A room type can never be sold for more rooms than you have on any night.
- When the guest arrives, record their ID and press Check in. A clean room is chosen if you did not pick one. Each night's room charge is added to the folio automatically.
- Room service or a meal in the restaurant: on the order, press Charge to room and pick the guest.
- At departure, press Check out and bill. Every night and charge goes on one GST bill, and the room goes to housekeeping. On the front desk, tap a room waiting for cleaning to mark it ready.
Good to know
- GST on rooms is 5% up to ₹7,500 a night and 18% above. Set those tax templates on the room items.
- Foreign guests must be reported on Form C within 24 hours of arrival. Nationality and passport are recorded on the booking.
- Guests' ID details are personal data: they are erased on request once the stay is billed, and kept no longer than the law requires.
